First Person to Hop the Pacific Solo

Amelia Earhart talks about her 18-hour flight across the Pacific Ocean after footage is shown of her landing on January 11, 1935 as the first person to fly solo from Honolulu, Hawaii to Oakland, California. A huge reception of fans and reporters receive her post-flight. Earhart was a famous female aviator from the United States. She disappeared on a flight in 1937 in which she was attempting to circumnavigate the globe.
