Sesame Street Introduces Third-Ever Latino Character

In September 2013, the third-ever Latino character (and the first new one in 10 years) begins appearing on Sesame Street. Ismael Cruz Cordova plays the role of Armando. He shares what a great honor it is to appear on this landmark show and says that one of the biggest challenges involves his allergies to fur. This interview was uploaded on May 10, 2013. In another interview cordova shares that, while growing up in Puerto Rico, he learned English while watching Sesame Street.
