Civil rights activist Ruby Bridges shares her memories of King’s lessons and remembers what it was like to be exposed to civil rights at a young age by being integrated into the New Orleans school system. She explains what the integration was like and discusses what Martin Luther King Jr. Day means to her. MLK Day was singed into law as a Federal holiday by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 and was first celebrated in 1986.
