His first person account describes how the LEGO Learning Institute works with academic researchers to develop insights into creativity, play and learning. LEGO is a line of construction toys manufactured by The Lego Group starting in 1949 by a privately held company in Billund, Denmark. The Lego bricks can be constructed into objects such as vehicles, buildings, and even working robots and as of 2013, around 560 billion parts have been made.
