Elton John is interviewed by Barbra Walters in 1997, a day before the funeral of Lady Diana, Princess of Wales. In the interview, John talks about the life of the Princess, the paparazzi that terrorized her, and her two sons: Prince William and Harry. He also shares a story about his favorite memory with Diana in which she was so excited to meet and talk to actor Richard Gere. Walters asks John how he will remember the princess and he states that he would remember her as a selfless person searching for love and happiness.
