Beloved chef and television personality Julia Child talks about her 1963 cooking show, The French Chef. Child says that her show helped introduce Americans to adventurous and delicious foods, as well as techniques to make cooking easier. She explains that, before her show, people were not so keen to trying new foods. Child also goes on to describe various tools she introduced, such as egg poachers and blow torches, that have allowed for a more effortless cooking experience. According to Child, bringing this kind of television to America allowed people to better understand what was out there.
