Canadian Olympic champion kayaker Adam van Koeverden speaks about his journey from being a “terrible athlete” who only made the school’s cross country team because everyone did to an international winner. In 2012, he won his fourth Olympic medal – a silver in the men’s 1000 meter kayaking event – to go with his gold, silver and bronze medals earned in 2004 and 2008. He has also won 21 World Cup goal medals.
