Yogacharya on B. K. S. Iyengar’s Inspiring Teachings

In this audio interview with yogacharya Patricia Walden, who learned from B. K. S. Iyengar himself, she recalls being unsure about a yoga position he was teaching when Iyengar told her: “You have to go beyond the limitations of your mind.” She let go of her fears and was able to successfully do the position. Walden attributes Iyengar for teaching her the importance of the mind’s role in the practice of yoga. B. K. S. Iyengar, the founder of “Iyengar Yoga,” was a famous yoga teacher who helped bring yoga from India to the West–and around the world. He passed away on August 20, 2014 at the age of 95.
