Mildred Gillars was an American actress who was employed by the Third Reich in Nazi Germany to broadcast propaganda during World War II. Along with Rita Zucca, Gillars was nicknamed “Axis Sally”. Gillars was captured in Berlin following the end of the war, and was convicted of treason in the United States and sentenced to prison on March 8, 1949. In this video, a veteran recalls a warning his unit received from Axis Sally.
