Scientist Explains How Cloning Can Cure Human Disease

In this TED Talk, Sir Ian Wilmut, the founding director of the Centre for Regenerative Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, explains how cloning research can produce ground-breaking advances in regenerative science and curing human disease. Wilmut is best known as the leader of the research team that cloned the first ever mammal, Dolly the Lamb, in 1996. Over the last few years he has begun to develop new medical approaches to human medicine through stem cell research.
