Removing Homosexuality from the DSM

Alfred M. Freedman, M.D. explains how homosexuality was removed from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) in 1973. This led to the World Health Organization (WHO) eliminating homosexuality from their list of psychiatric diseases on May 17, 1990.
