Attempted Assassination of Ronald Reagan
Reagan’s Son on John Hinckley

John Hinckley’s assassination attempt on U.S. President Ronald Reagan was on March 30, 1981 and Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity. 30 years later, Ronald Reagan Jr., son of the former president, speaks in 2011 on his concerns over Hinckley’s recent increases in freedoms as a psychiatric patient. He believes Hinckley should not be left unsupervised when he leaves the hospital and questions whether Hinckley has been rehabilitated enough to join the outside world.
