Anne Frank
Otto Frank’s Reaction to His Daughter’s Diary

Otto Frank, father of Anne Frank, talks about his daughter’s diary. He explains knowing she had a diary, but not reading it until after he found out the tragic news that his children would not be coming back to him from the concentration camps. He also discusses understanding her in a new way as he was able to see the deep thoughts and criticisms that his daughter had. According to Frank “it was quite a different Anne” he had known as his daughter.
