Choreographer Gillian Lynne explains what it is like to cast for the film version of Cats and gives an inside look at the choreographing and rehearsal process for the show. She stresses the importance of uniting talented people from different backgrounds and making sure the dancing looks as good on film as it does on stage. Cats first premiered in London on May 11, 1981 at the New London Theatre and ran until September 10, 2000, making it the second longest-running show on Broadway.
