Condoleezza Rice Explains Her Love Of Football

Condoleezza Rice served as the 66th United States Secretary of State under George W. Bush, becoming the first female African-American to hold the position. While she is well known for her role in shaping global politics, Rice also has a deep love for the National Football League. In this video, Rice recalls how football was a way to spend time with her father. Rice also touches on how sports helped her to forge bonds across the aisle, saying: “I never settled a political difference over football. In fact, I found that football was a way to bridge political differences because if you’re the fan of the same team, it doesn’t matter whether you’re democrat, republican, liberal or conservative. On that Sunday, you’re a fan of that team.”
