Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers describes the time rock and roll pioneer Buddy Holly helped out him and his brother, Don Everly, during a music tour in Florida. At the time, the Everly Brothers did not travel with a band and at one stop the musicians that awaited them were young amateurs so Holly and his band members in the Crickets stepped in to help them perform.
