Former NASA astronaut Ken Bowersox explains the unique engineering atmosphere SpaceX has because it’s privately funded. He comments on other government funded research facilities limited by the bureaucracy they have to deal with. Bowersox was appointed vice president of Astronaut Safety and Mission Assurance at SpaceX in 2009.
