An African American Soldier on Segregation & Discrimination in WWII

A black soldier, Perry, recalls what it was like to serve in the United States military during World War II and explains his first person account of how he was treated with less respect than Italian POW's. The US joined World War II on December 7, 1941 by declaring war on Japan and declared war on Germany just 4 days later on December 11th.
