Alice Herz-Sommer: ‘Music Was Our Food’

Alice Herz-Sommer discusses the impact of music on her life and how it helped sustain her through the Holocaust. Also hear her play Schubert's Impromptu in B Flat. Herz-Sommer passed away on February 27, 2014 at the age of 110. The Holocaust was the mass extermination of Jews perpetrated by Nazi Germany during World War II.
