A truck bomb was detonated below the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York City on February 26, 1993. The explosion killed six people and injured over a thousand. In March 1994, four men were convicted of carrying out the bombing, including charges of conspiracy and explosive destruction of property. In November 1997, two more men were convicted, including Ramzi Youself, who had masterminded the bombings.
