American celebrities Snoop Dogg, Eminiem, Jada Pinkett Smith and Marlon Wayans remember where they were when rapper Tupac Shakur was killed on September 13, 1996 in Las Vegas. Wayans, who was with him just before the shooting, says, “I saw Tupac, twenty minutes before he got shot.” Pinkett Smith was hoping he would survive due to his recoveries after being shot in the past multiple times: “He was like a cat, he had nine lives.” Regardless of where they were when one of rap music’s most influential artists was killed, all of their lives were changed.
