Musician Tommy Allsup and the widowed Maria Elena Holly, former wife of Buddy Holly, recalls the day of Holly's death–and how that day changed the course of their lives. Holly was killed in a plane crash after finishing a performance at the Surf Ballroom in Iowa on February 3, 1959. Allsup, who lost a coin toss for a seat on the flight, never got on the plane that would eventually kill his friends. He explains how his goal in life is to continue their musical legacy.
