Watch Arthur “Spud” Melin on the TV show What’s My line. Mellin co-invented the hulu hoop with his partner Richard Knerr. The founders of Wham-O gained their patent for the hulu hoop on March 5th 1963. They began selling the hulu hoop in 1958 and sold 25 million in the first several months.
