Rosalynn Carter recalls what it was like to have only sporadic news updates about the Iranian Hostage Crisis and remembers speaking to the families of the hostage victims when her husband, President Jimmy Carter, could not. The crisis began on November 4, 1979 and lasted until January 20, 1981, a total of 444 days.
