In this interview with NDTV, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto is mourned by her niece, Fatima Bhutto, following Benazir’s assassination on December 27, 2007. Fatima describes how Benazir will have a lasting memory in Pakistan’s politics because she was the nation’s first female Prime Minister. Fatima reflects on how Benazir was extremely devoted to her political career and she was consequently martyred for it. Fatima explains that Benazir is the fourth person in the Bhutto family to be assassinated for her political beliefs–Fatima herself participates in Pakistani politics through her editorial writings.
