Michel Proulx on the Importance of Controlling Broadcast Volume

Michel Proulx, Chief Technology Officer for Miranda Technologies, explains the importance of managing the volume of commercials during a broadcast from both a legislative and a customer service perspectives. He introduces the different types of technology that have been created to monitor the volume of broadcast media. The Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation Act went into effect on December 13, 2012 forcing broadcasters to comply to the new FCC volume law or face penalties.
