On October 31, 1999, Australian Jesse Martin arrived in Melbourne, Australia, making him the youngest person to ever circumnavigate the globe solo, non-stop and unassisted. In this interview, which features video Martin himself took during his 328 day journey, Martin discusses the trials and tribulations of solo circumnavigation. Of having a video camera as his only companion, Martin says: “It was good having a camera because it gave me something to do… You put on a bit of a different persona when you have the camera on, you know I think everyone does.”
