The war, which erupted in April of 1992, was the result of the dissolution of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. By the end of the war in December of 1995, countless atrocities and war crimes had been committed by the warring Croatian and Serbian factions against children, women, and men of all ages.
