Audrey Hepburn accepts the Best Actress Oscar for her role in "Roman Holiday," a 1953 romantic comedy in which Hepburn plays a royal princess exploring Rome on her own. Although Hepburn was nominated four more times for an Oscar (1955, 1960, 1962 and 1968), she did not win again. She was awarded, posthumously, the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, accepted by son Sean Ferrer.
