The Adventures of Tintin (French: Les Aventures de Tintin) is a series of comic books by Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi who wrote under the pen name Hergé. The Adventures of Tintin was one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century, and has been published in more than 70 languages. The comic books have also been adapted to television, theatre, and film. The Adventures of Tintin appeared for the first time on January 10, 1929, in Le Petit Vingtième, the youth section of Belgian newspaper Le Vingtième Siècle.
