Susan Atkins, a follower of Charles Manson and participant in the Manson Family murders, is interviewed seven years since her life sentencing in prison, which began on March 29, 1971. Atkins explains that there was an evil force in fellow Manson Family member, Charles “Tex” Watson, on the night that he murdered actress Sharon Tate and four others on August 8, 1969. She explains how she no longer agrees with the values of the Manson Family, as well as her newfound feelings of remorse and deep regret towards her crimes. Atkins also talks about how the drugs she was on during this crime-spree with Manson, drugs such as LSD, took away her ability to grasp reality and feel guilt at the time.
