Footage appears of the May 2, 1963 public suicide of Thich Quang Duc, a Buddhist monk and describes how people at the scene reacted to the self-immolation. Quang Duc set himself on fire to protest the persecution of Buddhists by the South Vietnamese government. While his body burned, priests and nuns moaned and bowed low to the ground. Some say they saw the face of Buddha in the clouds.
