Dr. Julian Bailes, the physician who first treated miner Randal McCloy, remembers the calls he received about the trapped miners and describes the state of McCloy when he arrived at the hospital as the sole survivor. Then Dr. Antonios Zikos of Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA recalls the organ failure McCloy suffered from as he arrived to use his hospital's hyperbaric chamber. Zikos explains the treatment process McCloy went through in the hyperbaric chamber and Bailes shares his thoughts on the miner's seemingly miraculous survival. On January 2, 2006, a methane gas explosion in the Sago coal mine near Tallmansville, West Virginia trapped and killed 12 miners, leaving one miner in critical condition.
