Janie Forsyth Mckinney tells a powerful story about witnessing a Freedom Rider’s bus being firebombed by local Klan members at just 12-years-old. McKinney describes people being mad at her as she bravely rushed to help the victims of the tragedy. The event occurred on May 14, 1961.
