Nancy Kerrigan is an American figure skater who has accomplished winning a silver medal and bronze medal in past Olympic games. She was assaulted with a police baton to the right knee by men hired by the ex husband of skating rival Tonya Harding. The tragedy became known as 'The Whack Heard Around the World.'
